Day 15 - Trip to Steel Industry

Day 15...
Everybody had to gather at 8am today.
We had a trip to a steel industry.
Basically we were there to see how it works.
We stayed at the factory for around half to one hour...

I felt that the place reminds me a lot of my dad's factory....

When I was younger,

my dad used to bring me along with my elder brother to his company's factory.

There were a lot of machines and they made a lot of noises.

Likewise at the steel industry we went to today...

It was quite similar to my dad's factory..

The only exception was that it was much more bigger in size.

And the noise level there was much higher as well.

The workers at the steel industry did not really practice much safety rules.

They only wore helmets.

And they did not wear any ear muffs to protect their ears from the loud noises produced by the machines.

I thought that was quite dangerous considering it might damage the ear drums...

Unlike Singapore...

We value a lot on work safety.

And I strongly believe what I saw today will not be seen in Singapore.

As safety always come first in Singapore.

After returning back to the hostel...

Some of us went to the street alleys behind the hostel for lunch.

And I had beef noodles for RMB6 which is about SG1++

It is very cheap right!?

At 1pm.

We had our BPE lesson.

And we ended class around 3pm.

For tomorrow...

There will be a presentation on our 1st assignment in the morning.

Followed by IS lesson at 1pm.
